Simran is a multidisciplinary designer and budding type designer from Mumbai, currently based in New York City. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, her multicultural upbringing and experiences serve as the biggest inspiration for her human-centred approach to design.

Through her freelance practice and previous internships, she’s worked as a product designer for Hearst and the financial management platform Fincent, as well as as a presentation and digital designer for young startups like Akwan and Equanimity Equation. 

Fascinated by how culture informs typography, she enjoys experimenting with the various components involved in creating harmonious letterforms. She is currently in the process of composing a bi-lingual typeface for both Latin and Devanagari scripts.
